Grab your cameras, head outside with friends and family, and explore all the beauty our area has to offer! Now through August 15th, you can submit your photos of yourself, family, or friends enjoying the many parks, natural landscapes, or farms in Santa Clara and San Mateo County.

Whether you choose to go for a hike, spend some time on the coast, visit a local farm, or simply enjoy discovering what’s hiding in your own backyard, we can’t wait to see your submissions. Read below for more details.

Experience an exclusive morning with your friends and family exploring and photographing in one of the many natural spaces our area has to offer. Your host will be Craige Edgerton, Green Foothills Board Member and 20 year docent. Craige will work with you to craft a personalized visit of two to three hours: working with you to select time of year, time of day, and specific route.

How to Enter

Submit your photo(s) with your name, location of the photo, and email address through Facebook Messenger or by emailing [email protected]. Remember:

• Photos must include at least one person interacting with nature
• 10 photo limit per person
• Photos must be taken within San Mateo or Santa Clara County
• All photos submitted must be your original work and free from any third-party copyright restrictions
• Use the following naming convention for each of your files: FullName_Location_Photo#

Deadline

All contest entries must be submitted by 11:59pm PST on Sunday, August 15th, 2021. The winner will be announced on August 30th.

While photographers retain ownership of all copyrights, by submitting an image for entry in this contest you automatically give us the permission and rights to store, display, and use the image, its thumbnails, and your name as the photographer, indefinitely in any media without notification or compensation.
