National Native American Heritage Month

National Native American Heritage Month banner

Green Foothills supports the fight for Native rights. One of the pillars of our recently published centennial vision is for open space to be wisely managed and stewarded, and this will only be achieved in community with our partners in a large, inclusive movement. The leadership of land stewardship by local Indigenous tribes and peoples is paramount, bringing the benefit of the wisdom and traditional knowledge that Indigenous people obtained by living on these lands for millennia.

November is National Native American Heritage Month. This is an opportunity for everyone to celebrate the various cultures and traditions of Native American peoples. Here are some actions you can take.
