You have surely driven past the site of this year’s Nature’s Inspiration celebration many times, yet you may not know it is there. Just outside your car window on I-280 north of Woodside, Runnymede Sculpture Farm is home to a 120-acre open air sculpture museum.
Nestled quietly in the oaks or often sitting boldly on a grassy knob, more than 150 massive sculptures grace this lovely chunk of the peninsula hills. Runnymede Sculpture Farm is the creation of John and Dodie Rosekrans who shared a passion for modern sculpture and wanted to present their collection in the most striking way.
The farm is not open to the public but the Rosekrans occasionally welcome nonprofits to use their grounds. At Committee for green Foothills, we are grateful and excited to once again host Nature’s Inspiration where art and nature blend so beautifully.
