Good news for Santa Clara Parks

Good news for Santa Clara Parks

Ulistac signOn Monday (10/27/14) I sent an email asking residents in the City of Santa Clara to speak up and urge the city not to reconsider its development impact fee to fund city parks. A huge thank you to everyone who contacted the Santa Clara City Council. I’m please to have good news to share!

At the council meeting the next day, after receiving emails and seeing so many of us there ready to speak up against the reconsideration, the councilmembers decided to not even make a motion to discuss the item. This means that the city’s development impact fee will remain at 100%. While there is still a lot to do for Santa Clara parks, this is a great step in the right direction.

Thank you for speaking up for our local parks! Your voice does make a difference.

Sincerely,

Alice Kaufman
