Earlier this week our very own Legislative Advocate, Julie Hutcheson, was quoted in the Morgan Hill Times. The article, SEQ Mired in Stalemate: Council vote likely not enough to gain key approvals for ag preservation, land use plan (11/12/14) by Michael Moore, discusses the City of Morgan Hill’s plan to annex farmland in the Southeast Quadrant (SEQ).
In the article, Julie explains our disappointment with the city council’s approval of the substandard Environmental Impact Report for the SEQ last week.
“We feel the community has been cheated in this,” Hutcheson said. “It’s (the council’s) duty to be accountable for ecological impacts, and that has not been done. For a council that prides itself on its environmental agenda, that was a real issue.”
