Vida Verde, started by Laura and Shawn Sears 15 years ago, is an outdoor education program. The program provides overnight environmental experiences for underserved youth in the Bay Area. These experiences have undeniable positive impacts on participants’ health, development, connections to learning, and environmental stewardship.
